Urban scale digital twins in data-driven society: Challenging digital universalism in urban planning decision-making

The article examines the impact of virtual public sphere on how urban spaces are experienced and conceived in our data-driven society. It places particular emphasis scale digital twins, which replicas cities that used to simulate environments develop scenarios response policy problems. also investigates shift from technical socio-technical perspective within field smart cities. Despite aspirations twins enhance participation citizens decision-making processes relayed planning strategies, fact they based a limited set variables makes them problematic. aims shed light tension between real ideal at stake during this process abstracting sets case twins.
